    About Us

    Provides safety, support and hope to women and their children who have experienced abuse. Free and Confidential Services are offered across Elgin County. Elgin's Abused Womens Helpline is available 24hrs a day for real-time help over the phone and in person.Women's Place, Elgin's Emergency Shelter is a safe place for women, with or without children who are being abused. Community Counsellers offer a safe and welcoming environment to talk about the hurt of abuse, help to find a safe place to live, and to help cope with sexual abuse. Counselling is available for children because kids feel the hurt too when mom is abused. Services can be reached 24 hours a day by calling 1.800.265.4305; free and confidential.
