Provides safety, support and hope to women and their children who have experienced abuse. Free and Confidential Services are offered across Elgin County. Elgin's Abused Womens Helpline is available 24hrs a day for real-time help over the phone and in person.Women's Place, Elgin's Emergency Shelter is a safe place for women, with or without children who are being abused. Community Counsellers offer a safe and welcoming environment to talk about the hurt of abuse, help to find a safe place to live, and to help cope with sexual abuse.
