The Old Imperial Farmers’ Market is named after the original company operating this building in 1946, Imperial Leaf Tobacco Co. Not only was Imperial Tobacco a main employer for the residents of Aylmer, it also fueled Canada’s economy, exporting over 20 tons of tobacco each year. They are a all year round sustainable market to home of over 65 Vendors and counting. They support the community and local area, creating a positive environment in their market which provides small businesses with a platform. They also bring a versatile meeting space to Aylmer that caters to all demographics.
